The dreams of a male dummy (14) Toyota or Toyoda‘s US congressional hearings

E-mail Print PDF

Friend: “What did think about ‘Mr. Toyoda goes to Washington’?”

I:          “A lot of lip service.”

F:         “You know I have a Toyota, which wasn’t included in the recall list.  But, I’m still really nervous every time I drive it now. “

I:          “Did he address this?”

F:         “Not that I know of.  Not only did he not mention it in at the hearing, he has never addressed it anywhere.  Well, I don’t think any of Toyota’s authorities addressed this in public.”

I:          “On the highway, I always avoid following Toyotas now.  And a lot of people are like me.  This makes traffic even worse during rush hour.  I would say it might be better to have a special lane for Toyotas during rush hour.”

F:         “He said every great company in history learned via collecting problems.  Does that mean he considers us being his experiment?”

I:          “Well, he said he would accept "full responsibility" for the recalls and offer his condolences over the deaths of four San Diego, Calif., family members in a Toyota crash in late August.”

F:         “What is the value of his condolences?  If I die, all I really care about is the life of my family, whether my children can, financially, still go to the colleges they want to go...

He also said, ‘My name is on every car.  You have my personal commitment that Toyota will work vigorously and unceasingly to restore the trust of our customers.’  My personal commitment‘!  Is he a king or criminal?”

I:          “He said, ‘I regret that this has resulted in the safety issues described in the recalls we face today, and I am deeply sorry for any accidents that Toyota drivers have experienced.  I am glad that none of the drivers and the passengers is anyone I personally know.’

F:         Hold it!  I don’t think he ever said he’s glad none of the people in the accidents were people he knew.  You are going to be sued by this gigantic and super rich company!  You know, money talks.”

I:          “I am not liable to what I say in a dream.  I can say my wife….

Bang! Bang! I was outside the bed.  And, my beloved wife was Screaming: “What!? Dare you leave out ‘beloved’ when you mention me, your beloved Wife!?
